Bijila has devoted her career to advocating for marginalized and impoverished communities. With over 20 years of experience in social justice, she is passionate about fostering sustainable community development. Bijila holds dual degrees in Life Science and Library Science, as well as a master’s degree in library and information science (MLIS) from the University of Madras, India. She has also completed Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASSIST 11) with the Canadian Mental Health Association.

A published author, Bijila is also a speaker at youth conferences. Her book Awesome Jesus: Explore, Experience, Enjoy has been translated into other languages. Currently, Bijila serves as the President of UESI Canada Ministries. 

Bijila’s career spans diverse roles in libraries in India and the UAE, where she earned accolades such as the Best Librarian award and recognition from the UAE First Lady’s office for her contributions.
