J. ELDON GAMBLE - CANADA

Eldon is an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer holding a BSc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology from LeTourneau University, Longview, Texas, USA. Eldon also completed his A&P (Airframe & Power plant) certification. After returning to Canada, he received his Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) license. Eldon was born in Canada, at a very young age went to India with his parents, and did his schooling there until graduation. He grew up speaking many Indian languages that include Hindi, Bengali, and Santali. Eldon started his career as an aircraft mechanic for Field Aviation in Calgary and worked in the Artic for Atlas Aviation. After serving for three years as a mechanic in Bangladesh he returned to Calgary. After marriage he and his wife Ruth went to work in Somalia and Kenya. In Kenya, Eldon served as the first chief engineer for (AIM) Africa Island Mission, operating aircraft that were serving Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, and Zaire. Upon returning to Calgary, he worked as a Maintenance Engineer in Air Canada, obtaining Boeing 727, DC-9 and Airbus 320 Endorsements. He has spent 15 years in Bangladesh working as a mechanic and was the Director of the skill training program for underprivileged Bangladeshi young men. His passion is to see those from underprivileged and marginalized peoples obtain skills to further their lives and impact the whole of local society. At present Eldon is actively involved in helping the immigrant communities of Calgary from South Asia.
